Sometimes when life is stressing you out, you just need a bright pink scarf and a striped dress. I’m a firm believer that dressing up and feeling cute can help combat the blahs. In this particular case, I’m fighting off a cold, and I figured that wearing something bright and fun might perk me up a little bit.
This black and white striped knit dress is a favorite of mine. For starters, I have an affinity for stripes, and black and white is so easy to dress up with other colors! Even more importantly, this little number has pockets; any dress or skirt with pockets automatically gets bonus points in my book.
It’s a very comfy dress, too, and I wore it a ton over the summer. Since it has half sleeves and is knee-length, it’s very easy to transition it for colder weather. In this case, I just threw on some black tights and my favorite booties! My bright pink infinity scarf is also making an appearance for a really exciting pop of color. Pink is my absolute favorite color, and it really makes me feel more cheerful.
I went for a walk around Downtown during my lunch break to bask in the crisp air and sunshine (and for an excuse to wear my new coat from Old Navy). If you’re ever in the area, be sure to stop by ebrik for some coffee (or tea)!
