It’s finally fall, y’all! We thought it would never come to Georgia, but this past week has finally started to show some cooler temps. What better way to celebrate the first weekend of October than to spend it outside at a fall festival?
This was my first year attending the Fall Fest in Candler Park, and I can say with certainty that I will be back next year! The music was fantastic and the food was delicious; we tried the tacos from Blaxican Food Truck and the Iced Cafe con Leche from Buena Gente Cuban Bakery. Both were superb! I also had a watermelon craft soda from a vendor whose name I wish I remembered… it was very refreshing, especially as it warmed up in the afternoon!
In the spirit of fall, I wore one of my favorite flowy black-and-white striped shirts with black Old Navy jeans and boots. I may have been a little overzealous… the temperature crept up to the eighties during the afternoon! Gotta love that Atlanta weather…
There was a lot of great artwork on sale, and I wish that I could’ve bought more! My personal favorite was the ‘Ride or Die’ wooden MARTA sign.We also ended up with some nifty free swag from Creative Loafing ATL, Whole Foods, and Suave! All in all, a fantastic date and a wonderful day.
Have you ever been to the Fall Fest in Candler Park? What fall events in Atlanta are you looking forward to?
xoxo
